Senator John McCain was the Republican nominee for President in 2008. A decade later, he has removed himself from treatment for brain cancer. A statement from his family says his condition has worsened.

John McCain to discontinue medical treatment for brain cancer

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/08/24/mccain-to-discontinue-medical-treatment-for-brain-cancer.html“Last summer, Senator John McCain shared with Americans the news our family already knew: he had been diagnosed with an aggressive glioblastoma, and the prognosis was serious. In the year since, John has surpassed expectations for his survival. But the progress of disease and the inexorable advance of age render their verdict.”

They said, “With his usual strength of will, he has now chosen to discontinue medical treatment.”

The “Maverick,” as he is often called, has been arguably the strongest opponent to the President from the Republican side of the Senate since before Trump won the election. He went so far as to ask the President not to attend his funeral and to send Vice President Pence instead.

WalkAway True Liberals have had enough of the Socialist-Left

The true advocates of Liberty have had enough of the Left’s group-think, violence, vitriol, censorship, socialism, Marxism, and incivility.

The founder of the #Walkaway movement Brandon Straka has had enough of the Left and it’s liberticidal ways. In a recent video from the Daily Caller, he talked about how the Democrats Are Jumping Ship Over Kavanaugh Smear.

He says hundreds of people have reached out to him since the Justice Brett Kavanaugh battle started, and he began receiving more video testimonials and messages from people who say they will now vote Republican because of the smear campaign launched against Kavanaugh.

The #Walkaway march on Washington October 26-28

In addition to this he is leading a march on Washington to take place October 26-28, as reported in the Daily Wire.

Speakers for the event include Dinesh D’Souza, Stacey Dash, Joy Villa, Mason Weaver, Buzz Patterson, and others. Dave Rubin, Herman Cain, Tomi Lahren, and Antonio Sabato Jr. cannot attend in person, but have provided videotaped remarks.

Additional details can be found at WalkAwayMarch.com. Tickets for the dinner can be purchased at Eventbrite.

The official statement provided for the event is as follows:

The #WalkAway™ Campaign, founded by former liberal Brandon Straka, is a true grassroots movement. Until now, it has been a social media movement, dedicated to sharing the stories of people who can no longer accept the current ideology of liberalism and what the Democratic Party has become. Some left long ago, while many have recently been “red-pilled”. Some have wanted to leave for some time but have feared the consequences they might suffer from friends or family if they were to walk away. The Campaign’s membership currently exceeds 370,000 patriots on all social media platforms combined.

This is a movement of Patriots from all walks of life who share something very important in common. WE ARE ALL AMERICANS and we will not surrender our country to: group-think, identity politics, violence, vitriol, censorship, hysteria, fake news, race-baiting, corruption, socialism, marxism, and incivility.

Drone footage of Hurricane Michael aftermath shows tremendous destruction

155 MPH winds from category 4 Hurricane Michael decimated Mexico Beach, Florida. Some areas along the coast are absolutely flattened. At least five have been reported killed by the hurricane and death tolls are expected to rise dramatically.

Mexico Beach left in ruins by Michael

https://www.yahoo.com/news/gone-mexico-beach-fla-left-ruins-hurricane-michael-153300455.html“It’s gone. It’s gone,” Baldwin said before her cameraman panned to long rows of leveled homes below. “It’s — it’s obliterated.”

At least two people died in the storm, and federal officials fear the death toll could rise as search and rescue crews begin to assess the damage.

Roads to Mexico Beach were virtually impassable, so Baldwin, who spent the night in nearby Destin, Fla., chartered a chopper to get the view from above. Fires could be seen burning in the distance, homes shredded and boats strewn across the town of about 1,100 people.

The President is expected to visit as soon as it’s feasible. Rescue and recovery efforts are already underway.

The most powerful hurricane to ever hit the Florida panhandle came as a surprise to most as it rapidly increased strength overnight just prior to hitting.

Is it smart to stay in a boat at dock as Hurricane Michael hits?

Is it smart to stay in a boat at dock as Hurricane Michael hits

At this point, it’s too late for most to leave their homes ahead of Hurricane Michael. Those who are staying are in harms way.

As noted in the Fox News video, some have chosen to ride out the storm, literally. They intend to stay in their boats at dock as the storm hits.

I’m no expert, but this seems to be one of the most dangerous options available to them. Judging by the video, it would appear they boats are going to be banging against each other and the dock if their lines break as violent storm surges propel them in every direction. Even if the lines hold, it seems like it would be the bumpiest ride anyone can imagine.

Watch the video and let me know if I’m the only one who thinks this is insane.
