Joe Arpaio calls criticizing Trump an act of treason

Joe Arpaio calls criticizing Trump an act of treason

Earlier this week Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) gave his much-anticipated speech from the Senate floor where he criticized Donald Trump for his never-ending assault on the First Amendment.

After a year’s worth of listening to the president refer to unfavorable news stories as “fake news,” and going so far as to label the media “an enemy of the American people,” Flake reminded his colleagues in Congress, as well as the president, that these attacks were eerily reminiscent of words infamously used by Russia dictator Josef Stalin when describing his enemies.

As I wrote in the days leading up to Flake’s speech, Trump’s fake news mantra also bore a striking resemblance to Hitler and Nazi Germany.

While Flake’s status as a RINO might make it easy to dismiss his speech, the conclusion of his dissertation is undebatable—Trump is increasingly becoming a threat to the freedom of the press.

However, there are Trump sycophants who disagree with me.

Former Arizona State Senator and current GOP candidate to replace Flake, Kelli Ward, threw down the Trumplican gauntlet as she challenged every candidate in the race to publicly condemn Flake’s remarks.

While the response to her challenge has been weak, candidate Joe Arpaio, the 85-year-old former sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, and undying Obama “birther,” one-upped Ward in a TV interview where he not only condemned Flake; he accused him of treason.

“I don’t know if Sen. Flake should make some comments against our commander-in-chief. It could be considered by some a borderline treason-type situation.”

Arpaio went on to suggest that the public should be “careful” when criticizing the president and that the right to do so should only be exercised “within reason.”

How much more Donald Trump can you get?

The GOP has been hijacked by Trumplicanism and Sheriff Joe is running on the Trumplican platform, a platform that considers the First Amendment a threat to Donald Trump, and believes that those who exercise their free speech rights are most likely guilty of treason.

Elizabeth Pipko: Democrats ‘supported one anti-Semitic comment after another’

Elizabeth Pipko Democrats supported one anti-Semitic comment after another

Racism is real in America and there’s a push to attach it to President Trump. Anti-Semitism is among the hot topics being discussed by legacy media, especially after the President went after Jews living in America who vote Democrat.

Despite the left’s cries to make the GOP, President Trump, and all of his supporters seem like racists, the truth is starting to come out. Much of this is at the hands of “The Squad,” who ironically attempt to use the race card at every turn. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley have gone so far as to call others racist while demonstrating their own bigotry in the same sentences.

Jewish activist Elizabeth Pipko was part of a panel of Fox Nation discussing the recent press by Democrats to reverse the anti-Semitism narrative back onto President Trump. As their party seems to be pulling further and further away from supporting Israel while attaching to the much larger worldwide Muslim population, it’s becoming increasingly clear they are at a crossroads. Today, most Jews are Democrats, but as the party embraces anti-Semitism as their new normal, how long can that support continue?

As Pipko pointed out, politicians must either condemn or support a stance. Silence is viewed as acceptance, and as Democratic lawmakers are conspicuously silent on “The Squad’s” anti-Semitism, we must take this as their measure of supporting it.

Journalist tries to buy a gun at Walmart, learns it’s harder than she thought

Journalist tries to buy a gun at Walmart learns its harder than she thought

Hayley Peterson seems to be an honest journalist. This is rare in the hyper-tribal state of modern media in which news reports almost always push an agenda first, reporting the news second and only as a necessary platform for the aforementioned agenda. With the majority of journalists leaning left, this often means attaching to the Democrats’ agenda on gun control, open borders, and other pressing issues ahead of the 2020 election.

Business Insider, which is rated as “left-center” by Media Bias/Fact Check, has been building a reputation as a reliable news source after spending a few years trying to match Vox and Buzzfeed. Today, their bias is mild and their reporting is usually honest, as is the case with Peterson’s report on buying a firearm from Walmart…

…or at least trying to.

This is an interesting read for those who may be considering purchasing a firearm from Walmart or anywhere else as it highlights a few of the pitfalls that can be avoided. As an expert on Walmart, Peterson has regularly covered their employees’ campaigns to force the retail giant to stop selling firearms altogether, but this was her first foray into trying to actually buy a gun. In short, it’s not as easy as many politicians try to paint it as being with requirements for background checks and necessities for licensed personnel present that we rarely hear about in the media.

I tried to buy a gun at Walmart twice, and roadblocks left me empty-handed both times

I went to Walmart with the intention of buying a gun last week as part of an investigation into the placement, selection, marketing, and security of firearms in Walmart’s stores, and to learn more about the retailer’s processes governing gun sales.

My journey to bring a gun home from Walmart turned out to be far more complicated than I expected.

Business Insider or Haley Peterson could have easily scrapped or reframed the story to perpetuate the trend of “Walmart sell gun bad.” Instead, they delivered an honest, albeit still slightly biased, representation of her experience.

Pregnant illegal alien rescued by border patrol while lost in the desert

Pregnant illegal alien rescued by border patrol while lost in the desert

A 24-year-old pregnant Guatemalan woman was traveling with other migrants through the desert after crossing the border illegally. Border patrol rescued them when half of their group left them in the desert and were later apprehended by border patrol. She was vomiting and had to be treated immediately before being taken to a hospital.

The desire to be anchored to the United States by having a child born on American soil can cause dilemmas for expecting mothers. On one hand, he closer to the expected birth date it is, the greater the likelihood they won’t be deported before the baby is born. But trekking thousands of miles is difficult when one is not pregnant, let alone while carrying a child.

This particular migrant likely picked the poor timing – in the extreme heat of the summer months – based on her desire to reach American soil before she was no longer able to travel the long distance. That choice nearly cost her and her baby their lives.

Yuma Sector BP Rescues Pregnant Woman Lost in Desert

Agents accompanying a Yuma Sector Border Patrol Search, Trauma, and Rescue team soon located the group, among them a 24-year-old Guatemalan woman who was four months pregnant. In route to Yuma Station, agents provided immediate aid to the pregnant female, who had begun to vomit, and contacted emergency medical services for an ambulance transport to a local hospital.

The woman was treated and released from the hospital Saturday.

The entire group of 13 illegal aliens was processed for immigration violations.

Border Patrol warns that illegally crossing the border any time of year can be fatal, but summer months, when temperatures can reach over 120 degrees, prove especially dangerous.

The timing of this is pertinent as the President considers putting an end to birthright citizenship. It’s an alluring prospect to have one’s baby on U.S. soil, one that is putting lives at risk for the sake of a broken policy loophole.
