Rev. Kinji Scott has called out the progressives (both the BLM and like-minded activists along with the MSM) and the damage they inflicted on the city of Baltimore, and guess what kids? He told that right to the face to NPR’s Lauren Frayer who did the interview with Scott on the public broadcaster’s “Weekend Edition” program. These leftists tied the hands of law enforcement giving the thugs an advantage. All this over the death of Freddy Grey who was apparently was illegally carrying on him a switchblade against Baltimore law. Grey was not shot to death but rather fell into a coma ascribe by injuries to his spinal cord for alleged transport-related injuries while in police custody.
The Rev. Kinji Scott, a pastor in Baltimore who’s held positions in local city government, says the opposite needs to happen.
“We wanted the police there,” Scott says. “We wanted them engaged in the community. We didn’t want them beating the hell out of us, we didn’t want that.”
He’s among activists who are calling for police reform to reduce the violence in Baltimore and several other high-crime cities across the U.S. that he says haven’t seen change. That change begins with a conversation between the communities directly involved, Scott says.
Scott is not optimistic about any improvement in the inner cities regarding the black community the dangers of the high crime that happens within those cities. “I’m a preacher, I want to be hopeful, but not as it stands, no. Not until we really have a real conversation with our front line officers in the heart of our black communities that does not involve our people who are “leaders;” Rev. Scott said.
The progressives are not making our cities safer but rather allows chaos to happen while they plot and scheme to get more money, power and control over those cities at all levels of government. I applaud Rev. Scott for seeing to who the left really is, and their scams when it comes to their “help” for the black communities nationwide. Right now Black Lives Matter or BLM does not really care about black lives, but rather using them to advance progressives ideals that will endanger those respected lives.
Hat tip to Mark Levin for bringing this to the attention of his listeners which I am one of his.
Baltimore Residents Blaming Murder Increase on Lack of Police After BLM Protesters Demanded Pullback
Baltimore has now experienced higher murder rates for three years in a row after riots and BLM-sponsored protests began rocking the city after the death of Freddie Gray, a suspect who died in police custody in the spring of 2015, National Public Radio (NPR) reported.
Since the riots, police morale has collapsed, and city officials began planning a lighter police footprint in response to complaints of residents and protest leaders.
