Voting against the Republican tax reform bill will not be enough to spare those GOP representatives from reprisal, implies a disturbing tweet from the official account of New Jersey Governor-Elect (and former Obama Administration Ambassador) Phil Murphy.
We won’t give a pass to the Republicans who voted “no” but didn’t speak out forcefully or lobby their colleagues. It is New Jersey, and states like us, who are paying for this plan out of our pockets. We won’t have short memories – 2018 is just around the corner. https://t.co/IDvIB0tvhv

The social media tweet promises that Republicans won’t get “a pass” in 2018’s midterm elections. However, in an era of impassioned and sometimes coded rhetoric, particularly on social media, such messages raise the question of whether certain groups (perhaps even Antifa) are indirectly being “activated” to go after political opponents.
In this case, those targets would appear to be all Republicans, even if they joined prevailing Democratic Party orthodoxy in opposition to the recently-passed bill.
Murphy takes office January 16, 2018. He joins a growing list of big blue state Governors and Senators using social media to distribute increasingly-partisan and even incendiary rhetoric to compete for support among the farther-left part of the political spectrum.
Covid variant BA.5 is spreading. It appears milder but much more contagious and evades natural immunity. Best to boost your immune system with new Z-Dtox and Z-Stack nutraceuticals from our dear friend, the late Dr. Vladimir Zelenko.
Trump has proven that using social media to incite a base of often-violent, cult-followers can be a path tp political power.
Why should the Democrats NOT follow his lead ?
The trend of using anonymous logins subject to bot-net followings and incendiary social-media tweets and facebook postings will continue until voters grow enough backbone and common sense to reject the idea that social media can be an acceptable means of communication for national discourse.
