Double-standard. That’s the word of the day over at MSNBC as New York Times columnist Michelle Goldberg took on the issue of sexual misconduct. The back and forth between Goldberg and host Stephanie Ruhle was one of the most partisan perspectives on the subject that we’ve seen on mainstream media.
As Frank Camp at DailyWire points out, they’re framing Al Franken as a “sacrificial lamb” while claiming Republicans aren’t holding their own men accountable.

Because there’s hypocrisy on the Democratic side, it creates a kind of leverage, right? Here are the set of norms that we espouse and the values that we say that we hold. If people aren’t living up to them, as they haven’t lived up to them, you can call them out for it. The Republican Party by contrast, you know, doesn’t really even purport to hold women in equal esteem.
Al Franken, Blake Farenthold, John Conyers, Trent Franks, Alcee Hastings, and all the other creeps on Capitol Hill should step down regardless of their party affiliation. This isn’t about sacrificial lambs. It’s about sexual predators. Get them off the taxpayers’ payroll.
