The progressives at large wanted you to believe that the church was in support of institutional racism, especially the Southern Baptist Convention. Regardless of that statement about the SBC’s alleged racism, the progressives just don’t tell you who some of the real racists of the early to mid 20th Century really are. So far the progressives collectively have yet to disown Woodrow Wilson, who according to pastor Kevin Swanson actually decreed not only those of black pigmentation to be separated from the whites (i.e. segregated) in federal agencies but to force married couples to file for divorce papers if one of them happened to be black. This decree flies in the face of Jesus himself for he said; “What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” (Matthew 19: 6 ESV)
Wilson was a flaming socialist, globalist and was a fan of the Ku Klux Klan and movies that promoted the KKK. Swanson’s recurring co-host on the Generations podcast, Steve Vaughn, mentioned how his father, who was teaching at a Mississippi junior college (and coached gymnastics) back in the late 1950’s and early 60’s, was directly recruited by the KKK. That father wrote a “stern letter” making it clear that he wanted no part of their group. He would have to deal with a burning cross near his place of residence. If you thought Bill Clinton was big pimpin in the White House. Wilson was doing the same, if not worse. Might as well, if you remove classes on the Bible from Princeton University and nudge young people of the day to embrace the dogma of Charles Darwin in every application of their lives.
Swanson also points out how the state in the case of Masterpiece Cakeshop is violating personal property as well as a violation of ‘religious freedom’ and ‘freedom of conscience,’ and his thoughts on what Justice Anthony Kennedy and Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg stated in the case. The state really goes out of the way for its own affirmation and approval for what it does. This God of Abraham and his son Jesus Christ is such a threat. Emperor Nero who many thought would be the antichrist mentioned in the book of Revelation according to Swanson, was the one who created the concept of same-sex marriage. After all, he loved men with a passion and likely imposed on young men who wanted nothing to do with him. But Nero had the power. What could these men do? Nero needed his desires fulfilled and to be gratified ASAP. He was a Caesar after all, and they always get what they want. Right?
For the record, Kevin Swanson is in an interracial marriage. If he dealt with a baker or a business that wanted nothing to do with him because of this, he would just tell his church and other friends to not give this business even a single penny. That is how you deal with a business that will refuse service and vice versa.
The Case of the Century
The case of the century gets its day in court. Oral arguments are heard for the Denver baker religious liberty case before the Supreme Court of the United States. Justice Kennedy is again the swing vote on this very crucial case, and we analyze his interactions on Tuesday. But, is he really the swing vote? We also analyze the Christian defense of the case, which doesn’t rely all that much on the 7th or 8th commandments.
