Philip Brailsford, a former police officer in Mesa County, Arizona has been just acquitted of any murder charges regarding any wrongful death in the case of the 2016 fatal shooting of an unarmed man in a hotel room in the city of Phoenix. Brailsford and other officers were called to the hotel when they were given a tip about someone pointing a gun outside the hotel window. That gun only proved to be just a harmless pellet gun.
Brailsford likely deserved to be terminated from the police force in this case. He might have taken his love of having the badge (and gun) too far. However, this will not be overpublicized like the Furgerson case since it was a white guy that was killed. Not a young black man like Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. Nor do we ever hear about the black on black crimes in the major cities, especially Chicago.
The white man is the boogie man in the progressive’s attempt to create the perfect world. A world with no liberty, freedom, or happiness, and law enforcement that answers only to the State and not the people especially at the local level.
At the same Barilsford does come across as trigger happy for his gun had the words “You’re F—-d” scrawled on his rifle. Barilsford did not care for Daniel Shaver decency. Either way, he had the gun and he was going to abuse Shaver one way or another. Either by exposing his manliness or shooting him dead. Brailsford chooses the later, and Shaver was chewed up like smokeless tobacco chew. Barilsford could have used better judgment, but choose not to. It seemed that Barilsford wanted to kill someone and was waiting for someone to give him that excuse.
I will agree with Matt Walsh that the support of Brailsford is not the conservative thing to do. A case of police brutality can be made here. Since it does not advance the victimhood of the African-American ghetto, our media will yawn and move on to something else that will advance the progressive worldview.
The only good that might come out of this. Brailsford may never work in law enforcement ever again. If he does however, it will not be in Mesa County that’s for sure. Message to the Blue line, don’t ever give Barilsford a badge ever again. If he still has issues with being a bully and wanting to shoot people dead, he should seek professional help to tame the monster from within before he hurts someone else.

Former cop learns verdict in his fatal shooting of man in hotel
PHOENIX — A former Arizona police officer was acquitted Thursday of a murder charge in the 2016 fatal shooting of an unarmed man outside his hotel room as officers were responding to a call that someone there was pointing a gun out a window.
The verdict cleared Philip Brailsford, 27, of criminal liability in the 2016 death of Daniel Shaver, of Granbury, Texas.
Ex-Mesa police officer who shot, killed unarmed man found not guilty of murder
Brailsford claimed he thought Shaver was reaching for a gun when police were trying to take him into custody and was refusing police commands. Officers later learned Shaver did not have a gun and only found two pellet rifles related to his pest-control job in his room.
The former cop said he was doing what he was trained to do when he saw a threat.
“I was doing what I needed to do to protect my fellow men and the woman we had just taken into custody,” Brailsford said while on the stand.
WALSH: Police Murdered This Unarmed Man, But The Media Doesn’t Care Because He’s White | Daily Wire
I’ve long been a vocal supporter of law enforcement. Anyone curious about my credentials in this area need only Google my name and “police” to see how often I’ve defended them and how often I’ve been lambasted by the Left for doing so.
But my support for a group of flawed mortal beings must always come with qualifications. “Supporting” cops must not mean defending them in every situation no matter what. I support them, I don’t bow before them. I give them leeway, I don’t give them carte blanche. There are limits.
Walsh: There’s Nothing ‘Conservative’ About Defending Police When They Murder Innocent People
Daniel Shaver, reported for showing off his pellet gun in his hotel room, was noticeably intoxicated when the cops arrived in force with AR-15s and body armor. Shaver tried desperately to comply as the aggressive, power-tripping officers shouted a list of contradictory and pointless commands. Rather than detain Shaver as he lay submissively on the ground, they decided instead to play a sadistic game of Simon Says, threatening multiple times to kill him if he “makes a mistake.” They forced him at various points to lie down, kneel, put his hands up, put his hands out, cross his legs, and crawl. He was shot dead while crawling on the floor like a dog — by an officer with the words “You’re f*cked” scrawled on his rifle — because he “reached” for something. But, as my friend Buck Sexton points out, he was only reaching for his dignity, attempting to pull up his pants so that he didn’t have to crawl around naked in front of them. For that, he lost his life.
