John McCain made a huge blunder on Twitter asking for enough followers to get to 3 million. Instead he gave rise to an exodus of liberal following. 74 followers away from 3 million became 2973246 as of this writing. The tweet would have been more successful before his surprise vote on the GOP tax reform. Indeed, this is the reason for the sudden liberal hatred being hurled his way.
We're only 74 Twitter followers away from 3M – spread the word & help us reach this big milestone!

Democrats can’t seem to make up their minds on progressive Senator John McCain. On one hand they love his staunch opposition to Trump. On the other, his politics fluctuate on the same level as Trump. John McCain has fixed himself as the “Anti-Trump Republican”. As a result, liberals have respected him, almost as one of their own. But stumbled in this role when he voted for the tax bill that the Democrats are having a meltdown over. This is especially ironic considering McCain’s previous opposition to the Bush Tax Cuts for being too generous for the rich. Perhaps being richer now is the reason, if those criticisms have any merit. To conservatives, he’s an obstacle they’ve failed to remove from the Senate let alone prevent from running a bad presidential campaign. He has changed positions multiple times on Obamacare, including his most recent support.

I had to double check to make sure this wasn't a parody account. It's not.
Our "leaders" are worried about hitting Twitter milestones. Whatever intern Tweeted this needs to find a job in marketing and put this political endeavor down as a failed experiment. https://t.co/SnF58Q7pMs

Sorry, thanks to your recent vote on the #TaxScamBill I and many other will be doing quite the opposite. However, you still have my continued prayers regarding your health.

?SEVERE RATIO ALERT?
A magnitude 8.4 ratio event on the #RektorScale has startled awake the decaying husk of John McCain, epicentered in Surely-The-People-Won't-Remember-I-Just-Voted-To-Condemn-Thousands-To-Death-And-Millions-To-Poverty Twitter. pic.twitter.com/F1CKfGjHXq

The first problem with his tweet was pleading for followers which an account with that many shouldn’t do. But on a more serious take, John McCain’s problem is being under the impression he has a movement. He doesn’t have followers. He is a shepherd with no flock. The majority of his supporters have been fair weather fans that come and go depending on how he votes. When you have no strong beliefs, better yet a remarkable history of flipflopping, its very difficult to garner a movement, unless you’re Trump. Donald Trump has a long history of shifting beliefs and much of that remains today. But the difference is, Donald Trump has charisma and balls. John McCain may think he’s a voice of reason, but he’s really trying to please multiple masters. And Just like the old proverb, he is pleasing neither. I’ll finish but stating: men do not straddle picket fences.
