I am going to make this short and to the point.
Carl Lentz, you should have said that abortion is sinful on The View. You should have said that right the faces of those harlots that make up the show. Now you don’t have call them harlots or whores or any demoralizing name. I personally would if given the chance and tap into my inner Lord Loxley. But you should have gone in and taken your meds, do the right thing and risk the consequences. If they want to hate you more than ever. Let them. If they want to boo you, let them. You need to tell these women that there is more to life than just having great sex as one of their favorite rags Cosmopolitan (maybe) likes to promote.
You have not won my respect at all Mr. Lentz. Your megachurch organization is killing the Christian Church as we know it, and I want to take the church back to its ancient basics and show people that its liturgy, congregational singing, pipe organs (if so equipped) and symbols are timeless and that hymns from the like of Martin Luther, Fanny Crosby, and even Keith and Kristen Getty have more meat in their lyrics/words over a “Shout To the Lord,” “Oceans,” “What A Beautiful Name,” “Wonder” etc etc. If you at least repent and call out sin to the sinners, then you might earn my respect.
Mega-church Pastor Carl Lentz responded Tuesday to criticism about his recent comments on abortion, saying he does believe abortion is a sin but he chose to emphasize grace instead of the sin.
Lentz, who leads the influential Hillsong Church in New York City, faced a lot of criticism this week after he side-stepped a question about abortion during his appearance on “The View.” His answer disappointed a lot of pro-life Christians. Many want their clergy to speak boldly about the value of unborn babies, the atrocity of abortion and the love that should be shown to both mother and child.
