I hear everyone from Ben Shapiro, KHOW Radio’s Ross Kaminsky to our own JD Rucker and Steve Berman tear into this GOP Tax Reform plan. I can say that I am in agreement with the conservative conscience that this is not real reform, and a Shell Game (not the one on The Price Is Right, but the real-life con game that would inspire the long-running ‘pricing game’). While Shapiro and Kaminsky so far have reason to support it, I am siding with Rucker and Eric Erickson that this GOP tax plan is a bad idea.
Now it is time to add another voice to this list. ‘The Great One;’ Mark Levin.
“It’s absolutely a disgrace. And the president keeps saying this is the biggest tax cut in American history — no, it’s not. “So in order to reduce the corporate income tax, which I feel they should … they are slamming it to millions of Americans.”
Why are they slamming it, because they will do nothing to stop “The G” from growing? The G, in this case, would be the “Government.” The word government is another important word that starts with the letter G, and I think its equally an important G word as “Grow.” In fact, I shall use a classic sketch from Sesame Street in which “Grover” (a name that starts with G) talks about the respected letter. Trouble is the G is intelligent and decides to ‘Grow’ out of control and of its own free will. Think of that ‘Growing G’ as our government, for it is doing the same thing. Just like that G, it will reach a point where it can’t grow anymore and it will implode into nothingness. Saying “Good-Bye” and running will not be enough, for when our government implodes we will all feel its effects; while our elected officials might have a chance to escape unharmed, and they have the odds on their side. There will be nothing “Good” about it. Sure Sesame Street might have been part of the problem for many years, but economics caught up to the show, and now Sesame Street aires on HBO (but PBS Kids is committed to the once crown jewel of their broadcast service and now airs it for free once HBO gets their cut).
We really need to teach people that we will never achieve economic equality. Some will have more than others, but we need to teach people to work hard and be content with what they can do and earn. Class warfare which the Marxists have played a long game with, only helps the ‘G’ grow to its eventual implosion. Sadly too many people that run our media love this St. Nicholas of sorts whos first name starts with Karl.
