Nine years ago, a large majority of Republican voters wanted Senator John McCain to be President. Less than a decade later, his opposition to President Trump, stalling the replacement plan for Obamacare, and softening stance on immigration have made more Republicans dislike him than they dislike other Republican lawmakers according to a new poll by NBC/WSJ.
The President scored the highest marks among Republicans on the poll, outpacing the party itself 78%-61%. The GOP House, Senate, Mitch McConnell, and McCain failed to break 50% favorability among GOP respondents.

Interestingly, Steve Bannon also scored poorly with nearly as many negative perceptions (15%) as positive (17%). The former White House adviser and current chief at Breitbart has been a supporter of the President’s agenda since running his campaign for the last leg of the general election, but his messaging hasn’t resonated since leaving the White House. Even his war on “RINOs” hasn’t endeared him to many Republicans.
As Trump goes, so too does the GOP go. This is making for an interesting midterm election, the results of which may come down to how popular the President is around voting time.
Covid variant BA.5 is spreading. It appears milder but much more contagious and evades natural immunity. Best to boost your immune system with new Z-Dtox and Z-Stack nutraceuticals from our dear friend, the late Dr. Vladimir Zelenko.
I think polls like this one are self-skewing.
It may be 78% of REPUBLICANS, but how many millions of VOTERS are no longer self-identifying as REPUBLICAN and will the Republication party retain enough numbers to be a credible threat to the DNC in 2018 & 2020 ? If the Federalist Party is able to put forth some credible candidates in 2020, will enough conservative (former) Republicans come out to vote or will the anti-Trump (former) Republicans simply stay home ?
We have 3 more years until 2020 elections and 1 more until the 2018 mid-terms and Trump is already reducing the clout and credibility of the Republican party and the US in general with his constant childish antics on twitter. How much more embarrassment will conservatives and Christians tolerate before they decide the Republican party has left them ?
From what I’m seeing, the morals and ethics of Christian & conservative voters have not changed. The Republican Party has now (finally) shed it’s deception and mask of ‘conservatism” and has shown itself for the liberal-infested Democrat-lite anti-Christian party that Donald Trump so proudly represents.
