Tuesday night, President Trump unofficially launched the Christmas season by tying in the GOP’s tax plan with the holiday he has vowed to mention over and over again until it sticks. Speaking before a conservative crowd at Heritage Foundation’s President’s Club Meeting in DC, he promised to bring jobs and keep companies from leaving the country with large tax cuts across the board.
“This is our chance to truly make a difference,” the President declared. “We have it in our power to build this future together.”
This is more than just a passing mention for jovial reasons. He and the GOP need their tax plan to pass before the end of the year as their last opportunity to put substantial legislation in play. He asked for help from the audience to pressure Congress into action.
“You will see things happen like have never happened before.,” he said. “We will have employment, we will have jobs… and we certainly won’t have companies leaving our country. Our tax plan will ensure that companies stay in America, grow in America and hire in America.”
Then, the obligatory Christmas portion of the pitch came out:
“Let’s give our country the best Christmas present of all — massive tax relief.”

Trump to Heritage Foundation: Tax-cut plan is ‘chance to make a difference’ – Washington Times
He called tax relief “a proven idea” to spur economic growth, citing tax cuts by presidents such as Ronald Reagan that led to more jobs and greater earnings and wages.
Saying that the plan to cut corporate taxes would result in the lowest rates for small businesses in 80 years, the president said to laughter, “It makes me want to immediately go back into business.”
He urged Heritage members to pressure Congress to pass the tax plan and get it to his desk for his signature by year’s end.
They’re Trying to Shut Us Down
Over the last several months, I’ve lost count of how many times the powers-that-be have tried to shut us down. They’ve sent hackers at us, forcing us to take extreme measures on web security. They sent attorneys after us, but thankfully we’re not easily intimidated by baseless accusations or threats. They’ve even gone so far as to make physical threats. Those can actually be a bit worrisome but Remington has me covered.
For us to continue to deliver the truth that Americans need to read and hear, we ask you, our amazing audience, for financial assistance. We just launched a GiveSendGo page to help us pay the bills. It’s brand new so don’t be discouraged by the lack of donations there. It’s a funny reality that the fewer the donations that have been made, the less likely people are willing to donate to it. One would think this is counterintuitive, but sometimes people are skeptical because they think that perhaps there’s a reason others haven’t been donating. In our situation, we’re just getting started so please don’t be shy if you have the means to help.
Thank you and God bless!
