Special counsel Robert Mueller’s team of investigators questioned former White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus on Friday.
The man who once led the GOP to massive victories in elections across the nation as GOP Chair “was voluntarily interviewed by Special Counsel Mueller’s team today,” according to his lawyer, William Burck. “He was happy to answer all of their questions.”
President Trump’s supporters and staff have quietly expressed concerns about the possibility of Priebus turning on the White House. He was often the target of the President’s attacks while in the administration, though since his abrupt departure has never publicly voiced resentment or animosity. Still, this investigation has been a distraction for the administration and a pain point for some of the President’s former staff including Paul Manafort and Michael Flynn.
