After a decade of being married to today’s most hated man in Hollywood, fashion designer Georgina Chapman says she’s leaving him. They have two children together.
“My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions. I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time,” Chapman said in a statement to People.
After a slew of allegations surfaced against Harvey Weinstein, accusing him of engaging in sexual misconduct with actresses and women working for his company, Georgina Chapman has announced that she is leaving her husband of 10 years.
“She stands 100 percent behind me. Georgina and I have talked about this at length,” Weinstein told the New York Post, adding that Chapman was helping him become “a better human” and to “apologize to people for my bad behavior, to say I’m sorry, and to absolutely mean it.”
Three women accused the producer of sexual assault in a report in the New Yorker on Tuesday. A New York Times report last week alleged multiple instances of sexual harassment dating back decades.
