Today, the Vice President of the United States left the Colts-49ers game after nearly two dozen 49ers players took a knee during the National Anthem. He Tweeted out his reasons and released a statement explaining his action. The common sense behind one particular sentence in his statement should be appreciated.
“While everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I don’t think it’s too much to ask NFL players to respect the Flag and our National Anthem.”
Pretty straightforward. Very true.
