Read my interview with Austin Petersen, GOP Senate hopeful and former Libertarian

Earlier this week, I had the privilege of interviewing Missouri Senate candidate Austin Petersen. I found the conversation both friendly and informative, spending much time covering his campaign, the Constitution, liberty and Americanism. Here is the text of the interview:

Jeremy: I just wanted to start out saying thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule for this interview.

Austin: Absolutely.

Jeremy: I just wanted to ask you a couple of questions. I’d like to know a little bit about your background and how you became a conservative.

Austin: Well, I’ve always believed in the principles of liberty; I’ve always been a fiscal conservative. On the side of the social issues, I wish the government would just stay out of it…

    We are about to have a better choice in Missouri and that will be state Representative Paul Curtman. He is truly a Liberty Candidate. He is exploring his options for now but if gets in It will be a big win for our state.

    Let me get this straight. Petersen changed to the Libertarian Party and then back to the Republican party. He was raised as a Christian, described himself as an agnostic, and now says he is Jewish. Houston we have a problem.

      I said I was Jewish, not him.
