In a stunning reversal on expectations, the Supreme Court has agreed to hear arguments on the Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission case.
This case can have enormous consequences for the rights of religiously-minded people in the marketplace to express their convictions on traditional marriage, or be forced to comply with state-mandated requirements for the sake of “civil rights.”
Most SCOTUS-watchers expected the Court to decline this case, where a baker has been forced by Colorado to undergo sensitivity training and pay fines for refusing to bake a cake for a same-sex wedding.
Covid variant BA.5 is spreading. It appears milder but much more contagious and evades natural immunity. Best to boost your immune system with new Z-Dtox and Z-Stack nutraceuticals from our dear friend, the late Dr. Vladimir Zelenko.
A similar case in Oregon drove a couple out of business – and I believe ordered to pay at least a million or more?…
Now that they’ve taken it, I expect this will be 9-0 in favor of the cake shop. Even the leftists on the court will be compelled to agree (when it comes down to it) that the First Amendment means nothing if it can only be exercised by people not engaged in commerce.
