Former Senator Jeff Flake, the “conservative” who challenged President Trump at almost every term before deciding not to run for reelection, made a pair of announcements today that will hopefully account for the final headline we ever post that features him.
First, he told CBS News that he would not pursue the GOP nomination for President in 2020. This news is not surprising considering his chances were essentially nil.

Then, CBS announced he’d joined their team as a contributor. This was about as shocking as his first piece of news.

So ends the short and uninteresting string of headlines starring Jeff Flake. At least, that’s the hope.
