It’s no secret the NY Times has been creeping even further to the left than usual over the last couple of years. The news outlet has been a progressive journalistic utopia for decades, but since President Trump was elected, they’ve turned so far to the left it’s hard to recognize the once-proud publication that drove so much western culture through the 20th century.
Their latest neutering of failed policies is aimed at socialism. In a piece covering the start of Nicolas Maduro’s second term as dictator President, they pointed a very bright spotlight on all of the economic and political woes the country is facing. What they didn’t do was point out how socialism has played the biggest role in taking the nation to the brink of collapse.

Daily life in Venezuela has become unrecognizable from what it was just a few years ago. Where once the government built homes, clinics and schools for the poor as part of its socialist policy, people now find themselves without the most basic necessities.
The rise of socialism among the hearts and minds of Americans is hard for many logical Americans to understand, but when we consider how much credibility is manufactured for socialism by mainstream media, the reason it’s still even being considered becomes apparent.
As NewsBusters points out, they even took the time to turn the story about Venezuela against President Trump.
Socialism? What Socialism? NYT Avoids Blaming S-Word for Venezuela Crisis
Friday’s New York Times covered the start of the second term of Venezuelan autocrat Nicholas Maduro, but managed to avoid unflattering descriptions like that, in “With Venezuela in Free Fall, Its President Starts New Term,” from Ana Vanessa Herrero and Megan Specia in Caracas. Yet other stories on Friday tossed around the word “autocrat” to complain about President Trump’s embrace of Egypt’s leadership.
Leftist media isn’t going to change. If anything, they’re pushing further to the left. The only way to fight them is to help conservative publications increase our volume so we have a better opportunity of reaching the masses.
