President Trump asks Twitter about calling for a new election in Arizona

With the Senate election in Arizona still up for grabs, recount efforts are underway. Discrepancies are being found, including signatures not matching. on ballots. President Trump took to Twitter to enrage his base.

We should be very upset by any corruption, election tampering, or fake ballots that are discovered. We should expect election officials to systematically check ballots and declare them invalid if they are demonstrably fake. However, calling for a new election is ludicrous.

Moreover, it would very likely not result in Republican Martha McSally winning. Tens of thousands of votes were cast for the Green Party candidate before she dropped out of the race. It’s very likely those votes would go to Democrat Kyrsten Sinema if a new election were held.

This election has been extremely frustrating and it’s very likely that Democrats are trying to steal some of the races. So let’s investigate. Let’s expose them. Calling for a new election is definitely the wrong approach.
