Word of the year: Liberticide

Published

on

There is really only one word that describes what the national Socialist Left is doing these days to the cause of freedom: Liberticide.

The Oxford English dictionary defines the term liberticide as follows:

Liberticide

noun
Destruction or removal of liberty.
noun
A destroyer of liberty.
adjective
Destructive of liberty; liberticidal.
Origin
Late 18th century; earliest use found in Morning Star. From liberty + –cide, apparently after French liberticide
late 18th century; earliest use found in Star. From liberty + –icide, in use as adjective and probably also in use as noun after French liberticide.

Like most words that revolve around the concept of Freedom, the origin of the word Liberticide, or it’s adjective liberticidal comes from the Latin liberalis, from liber ‘free (man)’.

This is also the root source of many other terms: Liberalis, Liberation, Libertarian, Libertine as well as Liberal.

This was joined with a combining form that denotes ‘a person or substance that kills’ or ‘an act of killing’

In many ways this word perfectly encapsulates what is currently taking place in the states and around the world. While they take great pains to deceive the public in their true objectives, the Left has become full liberticidal in it’s zeal for power.

Leftists efforts at Liberticide disguised with word play.

Of course the Left cannot openly admit that their Socialist national agenda is in opposition to freedom. Instead they use ersatz terms with negative connotations to hide their true intentions. Free-speech is supplanted with “Hate speech” – despite it having no set definition. However, as they say in the electrical engineering field, that’s a feature, not a bug. By the same token they attack the basic human Liberty of self-preservation with still other undefined terms such as “Assault Weapon” or “Military Style” which can mean almost anything.  This means they can attack those basic Liberties while maintaining the false pretense of supporting the 1st or 2nd amendments.

As of late they have become increasingly shrill in their attacks on these Liberties, but thanks to the magic of deceptive word play, they don’t have to admit to others or feel guilty about attacking Liberty. They can still pretend to be ‘Liberal’ [With unfortunate help from our side.. ahem] while being liberticidal at the same time.

Differential equations teaches us that one can use the initial conditions of the present to extrapolate events in the near term balanced with the knowledge of the past. The interaction of technological advances and the march of history is fascinating. History can inform those willing to listen as to what will happen in the future because the laws of human natural are as immutable as the elegant equations of Newtonian physics.
