FBI: Man planned Christmas terror attack for SF’s Pier 39
Officials say Jameson was talking to an undercover FBI agent. They add that he was arrested earlier this week and a search warrant was executed at his Modesto home. Several firearms were found, along with fireworks.
ABC7 News contacted officials at Pier 39 to ask for a response, they say they did not know about this plot.
My Take
The FBI has been under a ton of scrutiny lately for their handling of the Clinton email investigation and the Trump-Russia investigation. I’ve been quite critical myself. Let’s not forget that they do more than chase crooked politicians. Their anti-terrorism efforts have foiled more plots than they’ve let slip through. They deserve our gratitude.
