Atlanta fire chief canned for politically incorrect LGBT book gets day in court

Published

Kelvin Cochran

In an opinion piece published nearly three years ago by the NY Times Editorial Board, we learned that terminating people of faith from public sector jobs is not only acceptable but demanded if they hold politically incorrect views on LGBT matters.

The “tolerant” liberals running the Times shared this little tidbit following the termination of Kelvin Cochran from his position as chief of the Atlanta Fire Department, a position where he was recognized as the 2012 Fire Chief of the Year after declining a Senate-approved appointment by Barack Obama to be FEMA’s US Fire Administrator in 2010.

In other words, this guy knows his stuff.

So, what did Cochran do to deserve termination? He self-published a book in 2013 for his men’s Bible study group entitled, Who Told You That You are Naked? In the book, Cochran shared his faith in God and admonished men to remain sexually pure by pointing out what Scripture has to say about ALL types of sexual sin—not just homosexuality.

“Uncleanness — whatever is opposite of purity; including sodomy, homosexuality, lesbianism, pederasty, bestiality, all other forms of sexual perversion.

“Naked men refuse to give in, so they pursue sexual fulfillment through multiple partners, with the opposite sex, the same sex and sex outside of marriage and many other vile, vulgar and inappropriate ways which defile their body-temple and dishonor God.”

This concept shouldn’t be all that extreme considering the sexual harassment epidemic we are witnessing. But hey, these are LGBT extremists we are talking about, where anything goes when it comes to sex. And those who reject that lie will be drawn and quartered—or at least denied their Constitutional rights.

While the mayor of Atlanta, Kasim Reed, used a short list of Human Resources Department technicalities to terminate Cochran, Reed essentially admitted that Cochran’s book was the real basis of firing him because it contained so-called homophobic language.

In reality, Cochran’s book was an expression of ideals held by the Orthodox Christians for centuries on things like traditional marriage and sexual purity—which, of course, the Gay Mafia adamantly opposes.

The issue of the book aside, Cochran never allowed his views on these topics to affect his job, a fact confirmed by an official investigation that preceded his termination. And that brings us back to the NY Times’s justification for demanding his termination.

“It should not matter that the investigation found no evidence that Mr. Cochran had mistreated gays or lesbians. His position as a high-level public servant makes his remarks (in the book) are especially problematic, and requires that he be held to a different standard.”

Different standard? I thought liberals believed in treating everyone equally.

Fortunately, after years of fighting, Cochran finally got his day in federal court where he filed a civil rights lawsuit against the city of Atlanta for religious discrimination and denying him his First, Fifth, and Fourteenth Amendment rights. Hopefully, the court’s ruling will be based on the Constitution and not on the NY Times Editorial Board.

GOP plays pro-life card in an election year bluff for votes

With another year of failure behind them and a midterm election ahead, the GOP is busy doing as it always does under such circumstances, squeezing a boatload of bills through Congress designed to give the appearance that they’re keeping their word to the conservative base of the party.

An ace-in-the-hole often played by the Gang Of Phonies when they are desperate for our cash and our votes is the pro-life card, which explains their plan to hold a show vote on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Act (BAASA) later this week.

If passed, BAASA would allegedly protect infants delivered alive after a failed abortion which begs the question, if a failed abortion delivers a live baby and a successful abortion delivers a dead baby, isn’t abortion the very definition of premeditated murder?

Premeditated Murder: The term that is used to describe a murder that was planned in advance and was carried out willfully. – Black’s Law Dictionary

In 2002–strangely enough, another midterm election year–George W. Bush signed a similar bill called the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act (BAIPA). While the bill claimed to provide legal protection for an infant born alive after a failed abortion, BAIPA failed to provide penalties or enforcement mechanisms to punish violators.

Without those provisions, the law was meaningless and made it possible for a baby killer like Kermit Gosnell–who routinely murdered babies by severing their spinal cords with scissors through the back of the neck or drowning them in toilets after being born alive–to become a millionaire.

While it can be argued that BAASA might do some good, this is simply an election year ploy that falls woefully short of doing what’s necessary to end the abortion holocaust.

For example, there has been no advance of the “most pro-life platform in GOP history,” which included commitments to defund Planned Parenthood, ban dismemberment abortions, and pass a Human Rights Amendment to the Constitution. In fact, Trump and the GOP actually supported the abortion industry by passing three spending bills in 2017 that fully funded Planned Parenthood.

As a supporter of the Federalist Party and the Convention of States project, I see this charade as more proof that conservatives need to leave the GOP and join these movements. Only by reigning in the federal government and returning power to the states will we bring an end to this holocaust.

What difference could it make? Well, Indiana State Rep. Curt Nisly just introduced a bill that would completely ban abortion in the state. In Roe v. Wade America, his chances of success are somewhere between slim and none. But in Constitutional America, where “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people,” NIsly’s bill would likely succeed.

BAASA may or may not become law, but it’s nothing more than a lame attempt by RINOs to save their jobs. The lives of the unborn deserve better than this.

The 10 most genocidal leaders in history

The 10 most genocidal leaders in history

Here is another list article from John Hawkins Grumpy Sloth website. This piece was written by Deena Lyon, and continues to warn those who love socialism siren song that it shall raise humanity up, and take care of humanity for a very long time.

Trouble is when you take the place of God himself and fear that people will turn on you, what can you do? You must shackle them in fear, up to threating and even carrying out the death sentence. You think big government will take care of the people, but more often than not, it becomes a weapon against the innocent and has murdered millions if not billions and trillions and googols of them. We as humans just never learn that we can’t better than or without God Almighty.

Most of the men listed here (sorry ladies, no devil women here) were leaders from the 20th Century. Only one man listed that took power in the late 19th Century.

The majority of them found Communism and/or Socialism to be the ultimate tool in committing mass murder. If you ever wonder how one person can kill millions just remember that government can be the most dangerous instrument known to mankind.

Personalized Artificial Intelligence: Project Pai hopes to let you do things for yourself without you

Personalized Artificial Intelligence Project Pai hopes to let you do things for yourself without you

Imagine having a digital “avatar” that could do things for you. It could interact how you interact, do things on your behalf, and possibly even replace you in certain situations. Sound impossible? It may not be for long.

Project PAI, which stands for Personalized Artificial Intelligence, hopes to build these avatars based upon your online interactions. It utilizes blockchain protocols to power the creation of a “virtual you” that you can unleash on the web and eventually through other venues.

Let’s fast-forward a bit with speculation. Could this ever be used to create an avatar that is so much like you, it replaces you completely? Could it be used to help grieving friends and family once you die? Could it sit in for you in meetings? The potential here is incredible, but it can also be scary. There was an episode of Dark Mirror that took it to the extreme, taking similar concepts and applying them to a synthetic body that replaced  a deceased husband.

Others, as you can watch in the video above, are even more skeptical about the potential this brings.
