Michael Flynn and Son

The Robert Mueller investigation into Russian influence in the 2016 election may be moving from Trump campaign people to a former member of the Trump administration. Michael Flynn, who was President Trump’s National Security Adviser for 24 days, is reported to be the next potential person in Mueller’s sights.

There is enough evidence to charge Flynn and possible his son according to a report from NBC News:

Mueller Has Enough Evidence to Bring Charges in Flynn Investigation – NBC News

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/mueller-has-enough-evidence-bring-charges-flynn-investigation-n817666Michael T. Flynn, who was fired after just 24 days on the job, was one of the first Trump associates to come under scrutiny in the federal probe now led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller into possible collusion between Moscow and the Trump campaign.

Mueller is applying renewed pressure on Flynn following his indictment of Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, three sources familiar with the investigation told NBC News.

Flynn was at the center of the initial push to have members of the campaign and administration investigated. Last week, charges were brought up on Paul Manafort and Rick Gates. Manafort was Trump’s campaign manager for part of 2016.

Interviews continue between Mueller’s team people associated with Flynn. It’s unclear whether the investigation connects Flynn with Russia or if it’s a parallel investigation regarding Turkey. Flynn has been accused of working with the Turkish government to pressure the United States into extraditing Fetullah Gulen to Turkey, which has long-sought the cleric for criticism against Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The Turkish government blames Gullen for the failed coup attempt in 2016.
