This is simply too hard to believe for us to state it as fact until it’s confirmed from the horse’s mouth. At the time of this writing, the White House itself has said that it’s not true. Could a U.S. Senator and Congresswoman be overstating, misled, or outright lying?
Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi put out a joint statement claiming the President agreed to their DACA deal that would “enshrine the protections of DACA into law quickly” while improving border security WITHOUT President Trump’s infamous border wall as part of the deal. The White House disagrees. Here are the competing Tweets:
There's a DACA deal. The President & leaders have agreed to pair the bipartisan DREAM Act with some border security, excluding the wall. pic.twitter.com/UiBFEuI3wE

While DACA and border security were both discussed, excluding the wall was certainly not agreed to.

The funny part is that this could turn into just the distraction the president needed in order to get DACA passed without his base too upset. Remember, candidate Trump was quite adamant that DREAMers and their families needed to be deported. There were even protests from parts of his base about the notion that he’d “work with them” to make it easier for them to get back into the country legally. Now, he’s not even going to deport them. Imagine a scenario where he comes out, says he’s building the wall with or without the Democrats, gets a DACA deal done, and his base cheers. Why? Because he will have demonstrated strength in the face of adversity by sticking true to his wall promise even if his DACA promise was pushed aside. Clever stuff.
Reactions have been swift, though many are being edited to include the Press Secretary’s comments.

Trump met with Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer for dinner Wednesday night, and the Democratic leaders issued a statement expressing a willingness to “enshrine the protections of DACA into law quickly, and work out a package of border security, excluding the wall, that’s acceptable to both sides.”

I wasn’t there, but presumably, while having a good laugh over some of Trump’s greatest hits from the campaign trail, the trio of liberal politicians came to the same kind of closed-to-Republicans agreement that was a hallmark of the Obama administration.

Schumer, Pelosi say DACA deal will exclude wall after dinner with Trump | W. James Antle III, Washington Examiner
A White House official told reporters afterward the “topics included tax reform, border security, DACA, infrastructure and trade.” But Pelosi and Schumer focused on DACA, former President Barack Obama’s executive action shielding from deportation illegal immigrants who came to the United States before age 16, which was recently rescinded by the Trump administration.

Trump, Pelosi and Schumer just screwed us. So much for Trump being a good deal maker.
What bull.

Final Thoughts
Until this is confirmed by the White House, we’re not going to jump to any conclusions. It’s sad when you have to question the accuracy of an official joint statement from a Congresswoman and Senator, but that’s the state of affairs in Washington DC today.
