That was the brazen response by a Dunkin’ Donuts cashier in downtown Brooklyn to a customer Sunday afternoon, who asked why two men in front of him weren’t served.
Two plainclothes New York Police Department officers, wearing their badges, were refused service Sunday afternoon, by a curt store clerk who brazenly told another customer, “I don’t serve cops.”
The store manager claims the officers were standing on the wrong line. However, if that story holds water — or coffee — it wouldn’t explain why the customer, standing behind the officers, got served.
This is the latest incident showing that even in the workplace or serving the public, political-based discrimination is increasingly occurring with impunity.
