We’re selling $12 billion in F-15s to Qatar, or are they terrorists?

Published

on

Mixed messages galore here. Qatar is a terror-supporting nation. Our “friends” (and I use the term very loosely) Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE and Bahrain have broken ties with Qatar because of its support of the Muslim Brotherhood.

And now, the Pentagon has announced we’re selling $12 billion American F-15 fighter jets.

“Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis met today with Qatari Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid al-Attiyah to discuss concluding steps in finalizing the Foreign Military Sales purchase of US-manufactured F-15 fighter aircraft by the State of Qatar. The $12 billion sale will give Qatar a state of the art capability and increase security cooperation and interoperability between the United States and Qatar,” Pentagon spokesman Lt. Col. Roger Cabiness told CNN in a statement.

I suppose you won’t hear any complaints from President Trump on this, given that F-15s are made here in the U-S-of-A and that means jobs for Americans. But Qatar is either an enemy of a friend–or a friend of our enemies but still our friends too?

This begins to resemble middle school “dating” more than diplomacy.

But other officials in the administration including Secretary of State Rex Tillerson have called for the situation to be deescalated and on Wednesday while appearing before the House foreign affairs committee Tillerson played down any suggestion the President is on a different page stating: “there is no daylight between he and I” on the issue of Qatar.

Defense Secretary James Mattis said the relationship with Qatar is “not tidy.” Understatements are normal in this line of work.

This is just one more chip on the table in Trump’s deal-o-matic game where every statement and every action is based on the art of the deal in an amoral power game of transactions. Last week we called on Qatar to end funding for terror–and today we sell them fighter jets.

Contradictions only matter to those who care.

Charges being investigated in Las Vegas Shooting

As noted on the January 12th article We still want answers Las Vegas Shooting investigation, a hearing was set to take place on January 16th to possibly unseal the exercised search warrants in connection to the Stephen Paddock, the only identified Las Vegas Shooting participant. This followup is being conducted as part of getting the Las Vegas Shooting back into the front page as the public awaits answers. People  want answers and it’s good that some members of the media are fighting for them. The hearing was part of a legal action brought fourth by members of the media, most notably the Las Vegas Review Journal. Also covering the hearing was Craig Fiegener, a reporter who has closely followed this story.

To briefly summarize the hearing, the media attorney said that we have a right see the unsealed search warrants. The LVMPD ended up resorting to revealing that because additional charges are being considered, the hearing should be done behind closed doors. So no decision was rendered as Judge Cadish will give the police time to file a brief. For now we wait another week and then some for answers. But until then we can speculate. At the mention of charges being investigated, all eyes are on the shooter’s girlfriend.

Criminal charges possible in Las Vegas shooting, lawyers say

https://www.reviewjournal.com/crime/shootings/criminal-charges-possible-in-las-vegas-shooting-lawyers-say/The hearing, before Clark County District Judge Elissa Cadish, related to local police search warrant records.

Metro’s initial argument was that Cadish did not have the authority to unseal the records because that authority should remain with the individual judges who initially ordered the records sealed. Cadish rejected that argument.

The only other evidence Metro submitted in support of keeping the records sealed was an FBI affidavit. Review-Journal attorney Maggie McLetchie argued that Metro could not make assertions on behalf of the FBI, then noted that federal authorities did not oppose the release of federal search warrants last week.

“The press has an important role in being able to get access to this warrant information and help the public understand what occurred in regard to what warrants law enforcement got, what came back and what the actual facts are,” McLetchie said in court. “The horrific incidents of 1 October were over three months ago. The public still has many, many questions.”

That’s when Metro attorneys suddenly asserted that the sealed documents were pertinent to possible charges.

Cadish said she wanted to read through the sealed documents and compare them with information that already has been made public. She indicated she would make a decision by Jan. 26.

Court claim puts attention on Las Vegas shooter’s girlfriend

https://www.reviewjournal.com/crime/shootings/court-claim-puts-attention-on-las-vegas-shooters-girlfriend/“It’s a very bold statement to say that criminal charges are going to be filed in this case when the only person whose name or inference has been put in the news is his girlfriend,” Las Vegas attorney Craig Drummond said. “I would hope they’re going to back it up. If they don’t, it will incite all of these conspiracy theorists even more.”

Drummond said it is possible authorities are looking at other people who may have not followed proper procedures when selling firearms to Stephen Paddock or others who may have helped him modify some of the weapons.

Defense lawyer Robert Langford speculated that if Danley knew of Paddock’s plans and somehow aided or abetted his actions, she would already have been charged.

Planned Parenthood providing sex-change hormones to children

Planned Parenthood providing sex-change hormones to children

Planned Parenthood, the agency that celebrated a banner year in 2017 after murdering over 321,000 unborn babies while pocketing nearly $544 million in taxpayer funds—occasionally making a few extra bucks on the side by selling their body parts—has announced their expansion plans for 2018.

No longer content with simply ending a life before it begins, the so-called women’s healthcare provider will be pursuing a new revenue source—hormone “sex-change” treatment FOR MINORS. And get this . . . it will be paid by taxpayers through Medicaid.

According to Planned Parenthood’s VP of Medical Affairs, Suzie Prabhakaran, “It was time for us to expand the care that we were providing to minors” because gender-confused youth might have difficulty in getting the hormones they seek from “judgmental” doctors.

In most cases, dispensing hormones to patients under 18 to treat so-called gender dysphoria requires a letter from a doctor or therapist, but Planned Parenthood has no such requirement. Company policy simply requires informed consent, which means that once the child acknowledges the risks, treatment is given.

In a story by a Sarasota, Florida TV station, Planned Parenthood reminded those under 18 that they needed a parent’s permission to receive treatment—a worthless disclaimer, considering their track record of fighting parental consent laws when it comes to abortion. And let’s not forget how Planned Parenthood skirted partial-birth laws in order to harvest baby body parts.

According to the American College of Pediatricians, conditioning children to believe that being transgendered is normal is essentially child abuse. Even if you accept the LGBT-radical belief in the fake-science of transgenderism, giving life-altering hormones to children causes serious irreversible side effects.

Real science has proven that abortion stops a beating heart, that most children grow out of gender dysphoria, and giving hormones to otherwise normal children damages them for life. But since when has Planned Parenthood—who advises parents to assume their child is LGBT—ever allowed science to get in the way of making a buck?

As if murdering unborn children wasn’t enough, this development is one more reason why Trump and the GOP must keep their promise to defund Planned Parenthood . . . I’m not holding my breath.

Hollywood is posturing, not repenting

Hollywood is posturing not repenting

This whole #MeToo campaign is no different than the Red Ribbon campaign in the 1990’s. Hollywood has always been good at posturing, and actually not being a solution to any problem. If Hollywood or any entertainment industry machine in the world truly wants to clean up their act, they should look at themselves in the mirror and admit that they are flawed human beings, and throw some more men and women under the bus that hinder.

Never mind Harvey Weinstein or even Bill Cosby (who might have taught us certain moral scruples). How about Roman Polanski who raped then 13-year-old Samantha Gailey and is a fugitive from the law? At this rate, justice for Samantha will not prevail. It’s going to take God and God alone to finally rain down judgment on Polanski, I say right now he should get his affairs in order for that. Otherwise, another lost soul for Lucifer to claim. Kudos to Ben Shapiro for calling out these posturing punks, who just seek their personal interests still and still thumb their noses not only at God but middle America as well:

The Virtue-Signaling Anti-Virtue Crowd

https://townhall.com/columnists/benshapiro/2018/01/10/the-virtuesignaling-antivirtue-crowd-n2432171Imagine it’s late 2011. The world just found out about Jerry Sandusky, former assistant Penn State football coach who would be convicted of repeatedly raping children in 2012. Penn State higher-ups, in an attempt to turn the focus of the scandal away from the school, decide to turn an annual banquet into a celebration of those fighting child rape. They call up head coach Joe Paterno. They call up President Graham Spanier. They call up athletic director Tim Curley. All of them give long, brave speeches about the evils of sexual exploitation of children resulting in rousing applause from all the Penn State boosters. All the attendees wear pins showing their solidarity with molestation victims. The event is nationally televised.

Kevin Swanson’s Generations podcasts on January 10 and 11 2017 dealt with the entertainment industry in America here and now.

The January 10 podcast focused on the movie based on the life of P.T. Barnum (“The Greatest Showman”) and truly valued family especially his own and showing that he was not just seeking suckers “born every minute.” Barnum might have had freaks of nature in his show but deep down, he valued them as any human being. That being created in the image of God. He wanted to provide entertainment to families especially with women and children in mind. Also, the program points out how the degeneration of entertainment actually began in the roaring 1920’s and depression 1930’s starting with Mae West and her sexual flaunting and even the pushing bounds of transgenderism and adultery in the hit records way back in the day.

P.T. Barnum The Greatest Showman | Generations

https://www.generations.org/programs/839A recent motion picture release, “The Greatest Showman” features the early history of P.T. Barnum.  Last year, the Barnum and Bailey Circus shut down after 146 years.  We take a look at the history of circuses, zoos, and wholesome entertainment in America.  Then, we look at how it degraded quickly in the 1920s and 1930s.  Here is an analysis for Christians on what constitutes good family entertainment.  Is amusement biblical?  Is entertainment a good use of your time?

Swanson tackles the 2018 Gloden Globe awards on the January 11 podcast and points out how shameless they are in elevating depravity especially when it comes with sexuality and nihilism, and how it could be the end of society as well know it. Plus Swanson deals with how Hollywood handles and agrees with Margaret Atwood’s novel “The Handmaid’s Tale.” The current TV series and streaming service Hulu won two Gloden Globes including for Best Television Series-Drama. It already has won eight Emmys awards at the respected ceremony last year. Swanson calls Hollywood a dystopia which was allowed to spiral out of control who shows no shame to mocking God and his law.

They just proving Proverbs 8:36, 14:12 and Romans 1:18-32 correct.

The Golden Globe Awards 2018

https://www.generations.org/programs/840This year’s Golden Globe Awards glorify the absolute lowest forms of sexuality and nihilism, while trashing Christians at the same time. Here’s another first, in that we have the first television program to receive major awards whose sole function is to caricaturize R.J. Rushdoony, Greg Bahnsen, and Gary North.   The mass culture is spinning out of control, now.  We also visit Teen TV offerings for 2018.  The WSJ calls it “darker than ever.”
